  • Previously, shops selling vegetables, meat, groceries, and other items were permitted to operate until noon, but now they can operate from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. with only 50% occupancy. Pavement shops selling perishable goods like fruits, vegetables, and flowers are now prohibited.Tea shops are also not permitted to operate.
  • E-Commerce services are allowed to operate from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Full lockdown will be in force on Sundays. Night curfew will continue to be enforced. ATMs, petrol pumps, pharmacies, and natural medicine stores are allowed to operate as usual.

Tamil Nadu Inter-District E Pass:

The Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Edappadi K Palaniswami, recently announced that e-passes for inter-district travel will now be issued within 24 hours. While the government was initially issuing passes for specific reasons like marriage, medical emergencies, close relative’s death, government tender bidding, ongoing government work, or if someone was stranded, now passes will be issued to individuals who wish to return home and are stuck in other districts of the state.
